Dakota and Jonny Ortiz celebrated their wedding at the Harbor Beach Marriott in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 12/7/2024. The ceremony took place at a nearby church then all of the approximate 150 guests were invited to the Marriott for the cocktail hour and reception. As all of the guests arrived they were greeted with drinks, appetizers and the smooth jazz/saxaphone sounds of our very own Stuey Blue. Myself and Leonard took the time to decorate the ballroom with 20 LED, wireless up-lights, dance floor lights, a monogram (with their names and the date) and our "Open Air" photo booth all provided by Eddie B & Company. As all of the guests entered the ballroom, I lined up the 21 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Dakota chose Time Of Our Lives by Pitbull for the parents intros, Let Me Clear My Throat by DJ Kool for the bridal party intros and Let's Get Married by Jagged Edge for her and Jonny's intros. The first dance was to Make You Feel My Love by Adele then Dakota danced with her dad to I Loved Her First by Heartland and Jonny danced with his mom to Mommas by The Swon Brothers. Everyone found their seats then Dakota's grand parents Ellen and George gave the blessing of the meals. During dinner the toasts were given by the parents of the bride, Austin (BM) and by Jenna and Dillion (M'sOH). Dakota did provide me with a play list that included top 40, classic rock, 90s and 2000s dance hits and country. Great mix of genres for this very energetic group of guests...they danced the night away and only took a break for the cake cutting ceremony. Jonny and Dakota also surprised everyone with a dessert and a late night snack station. The last song for the evening was Closing Time by Semisonic and as everyone gathered on the dance floor with Dakota and Jonny, they made a huge circle and gave the happy couple a final group hug. PRICELESS!!!!
Congrats to Dakota, Jonny and the entire Ortiz and Villella families.
Special thanks to the staff at the Marriott for always providing 5 star service.
