On Saturday October 8th, 2011 I played for a wedding reception for Emily and Michael Spreyne and 100 family members and friends at the Marriott Harbor Beach Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. Since the weather didn't co-operate with the original plans of having the reception outside on the terrace, we celebrated inside the Caribbean Ballroom, and it was a very festive evening. Cocktail hour was a mix of top 40 adult contemporary hits. I introduced the bridal party to the B.E.P., then Emily and Michael danced to "Come Away With Me" by Norah Jones. After 3 toasts all of the guests enjoyed a stations buffet, which offered a variety of food to choose from. I sent out 6 special dedications to friends and family members towards the end of dinner and then we got the party started. WOW.....did they dance? The dance floor rolled for 3 solid hours. All age groups, and all genres of music kept these party goers on their feet all night long. I played everything from todays Top 40 club hits to Motown and Swing. Later Emily and Michael cut their cake to "Recipe for Love" and the final song was "In My Life" by The Beatles. The newlyweds are off to Italy for their honeymoon. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Spreyne for making me a part of your special day......DJ/MC Eddie B!
