Wedding Reception at the Marriott Harbor Beach Hotel

Kati and Shawn Gibson celebrated their wedding at the Marriott Harbor Beach Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 2/8/2019.  This amazing wedding began with an outdoor ceremony over-looking the Atlantic Ocean.  Approximately 175 close friends and family members witnessed the happy couple tie the knot then they were all invited to the cocktail hour.  The cocktail hour music was provided by our very own Brian Henry on the steel drums.  Chris and myself decorated the ballroom with 24 amber, LED, wireless up-lights, dance floor lights and our "Open Air" photo booth all provided by Eddie B & Company.  As all of the guests entered the ballroom I lined up the 29 member bridal party for the grand entrance.  Kati chose Is This Love by Bob Marley for the bridal party intros and Speechless by Dan + Shay for her and Shawn's intro.  The first dance was to The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra then Kati danced with her dad to My Little Girl by Tim McGraw and Shawn danced with is mom to The Words I Would Say by Sidewalk Prophets.  The toasts were given by Jackie (maid of honor) and Eric (best man) then Kati's dad Mr. Affanato gave the welcoming speech.  The prayer before the meal was given by Kati's step-dad Mr. Hamilton then everyone found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal.  Kati did provide me with a play list that included top 40, country, Motown and 80s and 90s dance hits.  Great mix of genres for this fun/energetic group of guests.  I did take a few requests for some of the newer group dances and for couples dances as the night progressed.  Kati and Shawn did have a cake cutting ceremony and also had a garter/bouquet toss as I invited all of the Davie fire fighters to the dance floor.  The closing song for the evening was Rich Love by OneRepublic as all of the guests gathered on the dance floor with the newlyweds.  Congrats to Kati, Shawn and the entire Gibson, Affanato and Hamilton families.
