Good day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the wedding blog.
On Saturday, I had the pleasure of hosting John and Lindsay on their wedding day.
It was held at the beautiful Marriott Harbour Beach in Ft. Lauderdale.
This location is amazing with breathtaking views of the ocean!
As the guests gathered on the patio for appetizers, I was asked to play some Rat Pack sounds.. Frankie, Dino, Tony, Ella, Nat, Natalie and the rest of the gang were doing what they do best!
After Cocktail hour, the guests entered the main ballroom.
It was decorated beautifully with Cyan Blue uplights provided by Eddie B & Company! Also provided by Eddie B & Company was one of our Strike A Pose photo booths, which went over big time with all of the guests!
For the grand entrance, I played "Don't Stop the Party" by Pitbull and then John and Lindsay entered to " Let's go Crazy" by Prince.
It was really a fun entrance, as the bridal party danced their way into the room.
Once I introduced the bride and groom, I asked them to dance their first dance. "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" by Izzy K.
Then I invited the bridal party and guests to dance to "Unforgettable" by Nat and Natalie.
It was then time to do the toasts and dedications.
First the fathers came up to speak and the Maid of Honor and Best Man followed.
It was really nice to hear all of the wonderful things about the bride and groom.
Dinner was served after that.
I was asked to keep it kinda light. In between the salad and entree, I invited Lindsay to dance with her Dad. "I Will" by the Beatles was used. Then John danced with his mom to "Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong.
I danced the rest of the crowd for a few more minutes and then invited everyone to sit for main course.
After dinner is when we really started to pick up the heat!
Since the crowd was very mixed and lots of generations, I played music for all of the tastes. Lindsay really likes 80's and 90's music, so I found myself going back to that quite often.
The cake was then served with "Better Together" by Jack Johnson playing in the background. (FYI...they were very tidy with each other..)
I got the crowd moving again with the Wobble and the rest of the night went off without a hitch. All in all, it was a great party and everyone had an awesome time!
