Jackie and Dennis Texeira celebrated their wedding at the Hollywood Beach Marriott on 2/8/2014. The ceremony took place at a nearby church and the cocktail hour was held outdoors by the patio area overlooking the beach. We were not contracted for the ceremony or the cocktail hour instead a 5 hour reception. We decorated the main ballroom with 24 Lavender colored, LED wireless up-lights and LED dance floor lights. As an upgrade to the "Classic Package" Jackie added our signature "Strike A Pose" photo booth for the guests to enjoy all provided by Eddie B & Company. As all of the guests were invited into the main ballroom for the grand entrance and the reception, I lined up the bridal party. Jackie chose It Take Two by Rob Base for the bridal party entrance and Let's Get Married by Jagged Edge and Run DMC for her and Dennis's entrance. The first dance was to Mine Would Be You by Blake Shelton then Jackie danced with her dad to My Little Girl by Tim McGraw and Dennis danced with his mom to A Song For Mama by Boyz II Men. The toasts were given by Maria (maid of honor) and Michael (best man) then the first of a 3 course meal was served. Jackie and Dennis did provide me with an extensive play list that included top 40, country, hip-hop, r&b, group dances and 80's and 90's dance hits. After the main course the dance floor opened up and it was packed for most of the evening. Everyone seemed to enjoy the mix of music that I put together. I love when every guest has a chance to dance no matter the age group. The garter/bouquet toss and the cake cutting were performed as the night progressed which also gave everyone a chance to catch their breath and maybe take a few pictures in the photo booth. The dancing continued to the end and the last songs played were My Way and The Last Dance by Frank Sinatra and That's What Friends Are For by Dionne Warwick. What a great way to end a perfect wedding. Congrats to Jackie, Dennis and the entire Texeira and Baldassarra families. Special thanks to the staff at the Hollywood Beach Marriott for their special touch at all the events we work together.
