Wedding Reception at the Marriott Hotel / Hutchinson Island

On Saturday July 18th, 2015 as guests arrived for the cocktail hour, I played a mixture of easy listening, light rock and pop music. Following the cocktail hour I introduced the bridal party to the song Still Fly by the Big Tymers. Then, I introduced Sarah and Eric to the song Can’t Help Falling in Love by UB40. After the introductions we did the first dance to the song The Chair by George Straight. For the dinner service, I played a variety of easy listening and country music. During the dinner service the best man Jason and maid of honor Kristin delivered emotionally touching toasts that had the entire crowd cheering. As the guests finished up eating, I announced that it was time to kick things into gear and get the party started. The dance floor quickly filled and didn’t let up for the entire night. Later in the evening, I announced that it was time for the cake cutting and for all the guests to gather round for photos. Sarah and Eric cut the cake to the song Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo’ole. After they cleaned themselves up, we did the bouquet and garter removal/toss. Sarah threw the bouquet to the song Milkshake by Kelis and Eric removed and threw the garter to the song Thong Song by Sisgo. Eric also performed a seductive dance for Sarah which has the entire crowd rolling with laughter. We ended the evening with the closing song Three Little Birds by Bob Marley. I had a great time DJing/MCing the Hudson Reception and would like to extend a thank you to the friendly staff at the Marriott Hutchinson Island Hotel.    DJ/MC Eric Olsen
