On Saturday March 10th, 2012 I played for Laura and Daniel Meininger at the Marriott Hotel on Singer Island. The weather cooperated just long enough for the ceremony to take place outside in the gazebo. A solo guitarist provided the music for this. Cocktail reception was held outside on the patio and I played a mix of adult contemporary tunes for this portion of the party. Then I introduced the entire bridal party to "Sandstorm" by Darude and 75 friends and family members welcomed everyone with cheers, whistles, and screams as they entered the ballroom. (This group was ready to party). Laura and Daniel danced to "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri. After a toasts by Nick the B.M. and Jane the M.O.H. a delicious dinner was served by a very attentive and upbeat staff. I presented the parents dances after the main course. Laura danced with her father Scott to "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw and Daniel danced with his mother Tia to "Everything" by Michbael Buble. Then the party started and for three solid hours the dance floor just "ROCKED"! I played a mix of todays club hits and then reached back to some retro from the 80's, 90's, and the new millenium. This group loved to dance! Later the cake was cut to "How Sweet It Is" by James Taylor and the garter was removed to "Another One Bites The Dust". Laura tossed her bouquet to "All The Single Ladies". I want to say the energy was sky at this reception all night long, and I have never seen parents of the bride and groom dance as much as I did tonight. Eddie B & Company also provided a name gobo which filled the dance floor diagonally reading Danny & Laura. I also want to say hats off to the event planner (forgot her name?) and the entire staff at the Marriott, it was a pleasure working with everyone.....DJ/MC Eddie
