Jenny and Steven Corteo celebrated their wedding at the Historic Maxwell Room in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 6/17/2017. The ceremony was held outdoors in the courtyard. That is were approximately 75 close friends and family members witnessed the happy couple tie the knot. The cocktail hour was held indoors in the ballroom and as everyone enjoyed drinks and appetizers I played a mix of jazzy/easy listening tunes for all to enjoy. The ballroom was decorated with 24 lavender colored, LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company. As all of the guests found their seats I lined up the 14 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Jenny chose The Father Of The Bride main title soundtrack for the entire bridal party's intro including her and Steven. The first dance was to Me and You by Kenny Chesney then Jenny danced with her dad to The Way You Look Tonight by Steve Tyrell and Steven danced with his mom to A Song For Mama by Boyz II Men. The toasts were given by Giovanni (best man) and by the co-maid of honors Kacey and Danielle. The first of a 3 course meal was served and the reception was under way. Jenny did provide me with a short play list and asked me to get her guests on the dance floor. I played a mix of top 40, classic rock, disco and 80s and 90s dance hits. Perfect mix of genres for this very pumped up group. As the night progressed we performed the shoe game along with the cake cutting and the garter/bouquet toss. Steven requested Friends In Low Places by Garter Brooks as the last song for the evening. Perfect closing song!! Congrats to Jenny, Steven and the entire Corteo and McIntosh families.
Special thanks to Libby and her great staff at the Maxwell Room...one of my favorite venues!!
