Patty and Chris Rodriguez celebrated their wedding at the Mayfair Hotel in Coconut Grove, Miami, FL on 8/16/2014. As all of the approximate 100 guests arrived to the Mayfair, after the ceremony at a nearby church, they were directed to the 2nd floor for the cocktail hour. I played a mix of tropical tunes and smooth jazz as they all enjoyed drinks and appetizers. During the cocktail hour I took the time to decorate the main ballroom with 24 blue colored, LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company. After the cocktail hour all of the guests made their way into the ballroom as I lined up the bridal party for the grand entrance. Patty chose Let's Get It Started by The Black Eyed Peas for the bridal party entrance and Don't Stop The Party by Pitbull for her and Chris' entrance. The first dance was to Then by Brad Paisley then Patty danced with her mom to Mamma's Song by Carrie Underwood and Chris danced with his mom to My Wish by Rascal Flatts. The toasts were given by Marlene (maid of honor), Michelle (matron of honor) and both best men Joe and Brandon. Soon after, everyone settled in to their seats and the 1st of a 3 course meal was served. Patty and Chris did provide me with a play list that included top 40, hip-hop, country, disco and up-beat 80's and 90's hits. This was another great dancing crowd that loved the mix of music I played. The dance floor was a non stop party all night. Along with the garter/bouquet toss and the cake cutting, Patty requested that I play a song for her Aunt and Uncle who were celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary. I played Always and Forever by Heatwave and all of the couples were asked to come on to the dance floor and join Patty's Aunt and Uncle. The crowd reacted great to the music mix and even performed a few group dances. The last song for the evening was Friends In Low Places by Garth Brooks so all of the remaining guests gathered on the dance floor with Patty and Chris. Great way to end an amazing evening! Congrats to Patty, Chris and the entire Lane, Lorenzo and Rodriguez families. Special thanks to the staff at the Mayfair Hotel for their excellent service...as always!!
