Wedding & Reception at the Miller Estates / Miami

Hello Bloggers!

DJ Gregg is back with another installment of the wedding blog.

This weeks adventure takes us to the Miller Estate in Miami. A really beautiful and unique venue.

I was honored  to be the DJ for the wedding ceremony and reception of Ashley and Stephen The date of the affair was on Saturday 09/22/18.

As the guests made their way into the garden for the ceremony I was instructed to play some neo-classical prelude music from the Vitamin String Quartet.

Stephen and the Rabbi entered and walked down the aisle.

The bridal party then walked in to "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys.

Then  Ashley entered to "Seasons Of Love" from the RENT soundtrack.

The ceremony was charged with a lot of love and emotion.

As the ceremony came to a close, I was instructed to play "Can't Take my Eyes Off Of You" by Frankie Valli.

It went over great!

Once the ceremony ended, everyone entered into the courtyard area for cocktails and refreshments. The saxy sounds of Stuey Blue filled the sky and was provided by Eddie B & Company.

Now we enter the main reception area. This venue was split between an outside sitting and dining area AND an indoors bar and dancing area. I had sound at both locations.

I was instructed to play some light and upbeat tunes.

I asked the bridal party to stay behind and got them ready to be introduced. I played" Busta Rhymes "Put Your HandsWhere I Can See"

I then lined up Ashley and Stephen. I then introduced them to "Feels So Good" by Mase.

Eddie B & Company also provided an Open Air photo booth for everyone to enjoy!

I asked the newlyweds to dance the first dance. "Make My Dreams Come True" by Hall and Oates was chosen. Then, as a surprise, I abruptly stopped that song and moved into their slow song "Your Song" by Elton John.

Then Stephen danced a special song with his Mother. They used "Stand By You" by The Pretenders. I then asked Ashley's Mom to dance along with Stephen and his mom.

Soon I invited all of the guests to continue the slow dance. It went over perfectly.

We then invited everyone to take their seats for the dinner buffet.

There were toasts done by Ashley's parents as well as Karen and Chris. The maid of honor and best man.

During this time, I was asked to keep it light and smooth. I played only requested music from the 70's 80's 90's. It really set the tone for the evening.

After dinner, I invited the guests up with a slow song and then I turned up the heat! We did the celebration Hora! It went over great as Stephen and Ashley were lifted in the chairs.

I was able to play music from all styles, cultures and generations. It was a lot of fun.

Now it is time to cut the cake. I played " The Fight Song" from University of Florida.

Soon after that the dance floor was filled up again.

The rest of the night was great!

I played the requested songs of Ashley and Stephen.

It was a great party!
