On Saturday June 18th, 2011 I played for Annie and Dennis Bolde at the Morikami Japanese Gardens. The evening started with a cocktail hour featuring Japanese appetizers and music. I then introduced the bridal party to Barry White & the Love Unlimited Orchestras "Love Theme". The first dance was "Colour Of My Love" by Celine Dion. Later Annie danced with her father to "The Way You Look Tonight" by Frank Sinatra, and Dennis danced with his mother to "Close To You" by The Carpenters. After dinner I was totally surprised when the dance floor filled up with guests from 5 years old to 75 years old. Most of the songs were from the 60,s, 70's, and 80's with NO rap music (requested by the bride & groom), Thank God! This group of 50 guests had a great time dancing to timeless classics like Brown Eyed Girl, Old Time Rock N Roll, September, Staying Alive, Dancing Queen, Electric Slide, Can't Get Enough Of Your Love, Twist and Shout, Billie Jean, The Wanderer, Mustang Sally, Sweet Caroline, and many more. Annie and Dennis cut their wedding cake to L-O-V-E by Natalie Cole and the final song of the evening was "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton. It was great programing an entire evening of music that meant something, had real instruments, and words you could sing along to. I want to thank Alanna & her staff for their hospitality and a first class presentation, taking care of all their guests needs. Annie and Dennis are off to Key West for their honeymoon....Congrats to both of you and only the best in the future....DJ/MC Eddie B!
