On Saturday April 9th, 2016 I played for the wedding of Barbara & Juan LLossas and 50 family members and friends at the Mount Carmel Hall at St. Judes church. The evening began with an elegant cocktail hour where I played a mixture of 90s-2000s chill top 40 hand picked by Barbara. After the cocktail hour we did our introductions. For the bridal party, I played the song You’re My Best Friend, by Queen. For Juan and Barbara, I played the song, Forever, by Chris Brown. Following the introductions, we did the first dance to the song, Love You Like I’m Going to Lose You, by Meghan Trainer. After their first dance, we began dinner service to a mixture of 80s-2000s, chill background music. As dinner service concluded, I ramped things up and got the crowd on their feet to a power mix of Latin music picked out by Barbara and myself. After about an hour of dancing, we did the Father Daughter dance to an edited version of Butterfly Kisses, by Bob Carlisle. Then, we did the Mother Son dance to the song, You Raise Me Up, by Josh Groban. After about another hour of sweating up the dance floor, we cut the cake to the song, I’m Yours, by Jason Mraz. The rest of the evening was spend getting down on the dance floor to a mixture of Top 40, Hip Hop and Dance music requested by guests. We closed out the evening to the song, Last Dance, by Donna Summer. It was an honor Djing the wedding reception for Juan and Barbara. Thank you to St. Jude Church for hosting such an amazing event!
