Good Day Bloggers
DJ Gregg with this weeks installment of the Wedding Blog. Today's adventure begins at the Ocean Manor Resort in Ft. Lauderdale. Situated on the ocean, it is a real gem of a venue.
As the guests entered the room, I played some mid tempo EDM to get a groove going. It was lit up with amber LED up lights provided by Eddie B & Company.
I proceeded to line up the bridal party and introduce them.
They entered with "I Gotta Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas. Troy and Karina entered with "Sandstorm" by Darude.... A great intro indeed!
They proceeded to go into the first dance "All of Me" by John Legend. I then invited the rest of the guests to dance another slow jam and then I sat the group down.
The toasts were next. Given by the Maid of Honor, Helen and the Best Man, Jason. The father of the Groom said a few words of encouragement as well.
Then dinner was served. I played some standards and light vocal. After dinner, I asked the Mother of the Bride to dance with Karina. The traditional "Danube Azul" was used.
Then Troy danced to "Have I told You lately" with his mom. Towards the end of this song, I invited all of the guests to dance, and then we got the party started....It was a wonderful mix of people...all ages, styles, nationalities, etc. Karina enjoys Latin music, so I played a lot of salsa, Merengue and Pitbull. I even played a couple of Bachata tunes. Troy and his family really liked great oldies and some 90's old school. The dance floor was packed ALL NIGHT!
The garter and bouquet toss went off with no hitches and the cake cutting was nice and clean....
After that we proceeded to dance again and everyone had a great time!!!
congrats to the bride and groom.
