On 12/15/12 Ed & Annette Stalcup had their wedding reception at the Old Davie School House. This Museum had a large tiki hut outside for cocktail hour as I played a mix of Island music & Latin for all to enjoy. When the guests made their way upstairs to the auditorium museum hall I lined up the wedding party for introductions. The wedding party was introduced to the theme song of the show "Survivor".The b/g were introduced to "Beautiful Day" by U2, leading into the first dance "All I Want Is You" by U2. The bride Annette was from Guatemala, so she danced with her father and grandfather to "Vals Para Una Novia" by Alejandro Jaen. Next a few toasts were presented, then the blessing by the groom. For dinner I invited individual tables to the the buffet, with the sounds of Latin Lounge, low key alternative, 80's, 90's pop/dance. After dinner it was party time and dance they did. I turned on the two towers of 6-spot LED dance floor lights provided by Eddie B & Company. I played "Marimba", Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Classic Rock, Pop/Dance, & Top 40. This crowd rocked this historic wooden floor. I stopped for the cutting of the cake in between with the sounds of "Sweetest Thing" by U2, and Eddie had a FSU cake. By surprise I played the war chant and had the crowd chopping in the air. I closed out the night with "Last Dance" along with the "Mickey Mouse Theme" by request. Best wishes to Ed & Annette....Thanxs Roberto (D.J./M.C. Rob)
