Wedding Reception at the Palms Hotel / Miami Beach

Lauren and John McKechnie celebrated their wedding at the Palms Hotel in Miami Beach, FL on 4/12/2025.  This amazing wedding began with an outdoor ceremony in the courtyard of the Palms then all of the approximate 120 guests were invited to the cocktail hour on the veranda.  I played a mix of alternative tunes while everyone mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers.  Lauren and John posed for pictures with immediate family members and the bridal party on the beach.  I took the time to decorate the ballroom with 20 LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company.  As all of the guests made their way into the ballroom, I lined up Lauren and John for the grand entrance.  They chose Summer by Calvin Harris as the intro song then they went right into their first dance which was Have I Told You Lately by Van Morrison. Lauren then danced with her dad to God, Your Mama and Me by Florida/Georgia Line and John danced with his mom to Forever Young  by Joan Baez.  All of the guests found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal.  During dinner, the toasts were given by Savannah (MOH) and Patrick (BM) and the reception was under way.  Lauren did provide me with a play list that included top 40, classic rock, alternative tunes and 90s and 2000s hip-hop.  Perfect mix of genres for this very fun group of guests that danced the night away and only took a breather for the cake cutting ceremony.  The dancing continued as the evening progressed then everyone made a big circle on the dance floor for the last dance.  Lauren and John chose I Believe In A Thing Called Love by The Darkness and that put a bow on a terrific Saturday night Miami wedding.
