Laura and Gregory Riggin celebrated their wedding at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 5/5/2019. This fun wedding began with an indoor ceremony on the 11th floor ballroom over-looking the Atlantic Ocean. Approximately 45 close friends and family members witnessed the happy couple tie the knot then they were all invited to the cocktail hour for drinks, appetizers and the live steel drum sounds of our very own Brian Henry. I took the time to decorate the ballroom with 24 pink, LED, wireless up-lights and LED dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company. As the guests entered the ballroom I lined up Laura and Gregory who chose the Star Wars Theme as the grand entrance song. The first dace was to All Of Me by John Legend then Laura danced with her dad to What A Wonderful World by L. Armstrong and Gregory danced with his sister Velvet to Islands In The Stream by Dolly Pardon and Kenny Rogers. The toasts were given by 4 family member then Deborah gave the blessing of the meals. Everyone found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal. Laura did provide me with a play list that included top 40, country, 80s and 90s hits and classic rock. The dance floor filled up very quickly after dinner was over and the dancing continued all night long. What a great mix of genres for this fun/energetic group of guests. The garter/bouquet toss and the cake cutting ceremony took place as the evening progressed but the dance floor was the place to be that Sunday night. The last songs for the evening were Closing Time by Semisonic and At Last by Etta James.
Congrats to Laura, Gregory and the entire Riggin and Etling families.
Special thanks to the staff at the Pelican Grand for always putting a smile on the brides face!!
