Wedding Reception at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort

On Friday, March 9th, 2012 I played at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort in Fort Lauderdale for Jessica and Keith Cutler and 50 friends and family members. Down from New Hampshire the weather was picture perfect for their ceremony on the beach. I started with a cocktail reception on the back porch over looking the ocean. I introduced the bridal party to "I Gotta Feeling" and then Jessica & Keith chose "My Best Friend" by Tim McGraw for their first dance. Jessica dance with her father Steve to "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King and Keith danced to "Because You Loved Me" by Celine Dion with his mother Elaine. The mix of music I played was everything from Top 40 club hits to classic rock. Tunes by the Rolling Stones, Stevie Ray Vaughn, The Foo Fighters, Kid Rock, Billy Idol, and AC/DC really went over big on the dance floor. This group was having such a good time I played an hour of overtime and they still wanted to keep on dancing! Jessica and Keith cut their cake to "I Can't Help Myself" by the Four Tops and I ended the night with "Dirty Bit" (Time Of My Life). From there the party moved to the hotel bar and I can only guess how long that lasted. Hats off to Chaz and his staff for another five star presentation and it was a pleasure working with Blake Spurlin from Spurlin photography once again.
