Wedding & Reception at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort

Heather and Mark Wright celebrated their wedding at the Pelican Beach Grand Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 3/4/2023.  The weather was perfect for a Saturday night wedding at the Pelican.  Approximately 50 guests arrived to the venue and were directed to the 2nd floor for the outdoor ceremony over-looking the Atlantic Ocean.  The cocktail hour was also held on the 2nd floor.  That is were I played a mix of tropical tunes while they all mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers.  I also took the time to decorate the ballroom with 20 amber, LED, wireless up-lights, dance floor lights and a monogram with their names and the date all provided by Eddie B & Company.  As all of the guests entered the ballroom I lined up the  7 member bridal party for the grand entrance.  Heather chose 24K Magic by Bruno Mars for the bridal party intros and Sideways by Illenium for her and Mark's intro.  The first dance was to Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion then Heather danced with her dad to This Dance by Scott Thomas and Mark danced with his mom to A Song For Mama by Boyz II Men.  All of the guests then found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal.  Heather did provide me with a playlist that included top 40, classic rock, alternative tunes and country.  Fun mix of genres for this energetic group of guests.  The dance floor was hopping and the only time they took a break was for the cake cutting ceremony and the garter/bouquet toss.  The closing song for the evening was At Last by Etta James, all of the remaining guests gathered on the dance floor with the happy couple for a group hug.
