Wedding Reception at the Pelican Grand Beach Resort / Fort Lauderdale
Stacy and Ryan Koerner celebrated their wedding at the Pelican Beach Grand Resort in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 10/22/2016. This awesome wedding began with an outdoor ceremony on the 12th floor at the gazebo overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Approximately 70 close friends and family members witnessed a beautiful ceremony then were invited to the cocktail hour which was also on the sane floor. I played a mix of tropical tunes while all of the guests mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers. I also took the time to decorate the ballroom with 24 Amber colored, wireless, LED up lights and dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company. After the cocktail hour all of the guests were invited to the 11th floor ballroom for the grand entrance and reception. Stacy and Ryan entered the reception to Now That We Found Love by Heavy D and the Boys then went right into their first dance which was Heaven by DJ Sammy (candlelight version). Soon after, Stacy danced with her dad to Fix You by Boyce Avenue then Ryan danced with his mom to 93 Million Miles by Jason Mraz. All of the guests found there seats then Jillian (maid of honor) and Kevin (best man) gave the toasts. Stacy's dad Mr. Bob Surnak gave the welcoming speech and the blessing of the meals and the reception was under way. Stacy did provide me with a play list and included top 40, classic rock, alternative, oldies and 90s dance hits. This mix of genres was great for this group!! They filled the dance floor after diner and dance the night away. Stacy's brother Brad and her dad Bob made the evening even more special. I hooked up Brad's electric guitar to my system and they performed two songs. That was one of the highlights of the evening. Another highlight was when the Chicago Cubs defeated the L.A. Dodgers to advance to the World Series. These folks were the most passionate Cub fans I have ever met. The last song for the evening was Go Cubs Go!! Everyone gathered on the dance floor and sang the entire song...twice!! Congrats to Stacy, Ryan and the entire Koerner and Surnak families!! Well the Cubs ended up winning the World Series against the Indians a few weeks later...I was so happy and honored that I was part of this wedding. I will never forget this one...HISTORY!!!
