Natalie and Gene Bardakjy celebrated their wedding at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 3/15/2025. The ceremony took place at a nearby church then all of the approximate 100 guests were invited to the BCPA for the cocktail hour and reception. I played a mix of instrumental tunes at the cocktail hour while everyone mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers. As all of the guests entered the ballroom, I lined up the 8 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Natalie chose Stayin' Alive by The Bee Gees as the intro song for the bridal party and the Fantasmic Soundtrack as her and Gene's intro song. The first dance was to Better Together by Jack Johnson then Natalie danced with her dad to Forever Now by Michael Buble and Gene danced with his mom to Forever Young by Blake Shelton. Everyone found their seats and prepared for a buffet style dinner. During dinner, the toasts were given by Tati (MOH) and Naser (BM) and the reception was in full swing. Natalie did provide me with a play list that included top 40, heavy latin favorites, Motown and R&B. Perfect mix of genres for this fun group of guests. The cake cutting and the bouquet toss (no garter) were performed as the evening progressed and I also took a few requests for more salsa classics. As the reception came to a close I played Dear Maria, Count Me In by All Time Low and that put a bow on a fabulous Saturday night wedding.
Congrats to Natalie, Gene and the entire Bardakjy and del Valle families.
Special thanks to the staff at the BCPA for always providing top notch service.
