On 11/9/2012 Katie and Sean Roberts celebrated their wedding at the Plantation Preserve C.C. in Plantation, FL with 110 of their close friends and family members. The ceremony took place at a church near by then all of the guests were invited to the cocktail hour and reception at the Preserves. The cocktail hour was held outdoors in the courtyard as everyone enjoyed drinks, appetizers and a mix of smooth jazz tunes. After the cocktail hour the guests were directed into the main ballroom for the grand entrance. Everyone found their seats as I lined up the 14 member bridal party. Sean chose Get This Party Started by Pink for the bridal party intros and Big, Bad Handsome Man by Imelda May for his and Katie's intro. The first dance was to I Got This Friend by The Civil Wars which they chose to dance by themselves with no one joining in. Katie then danced with her dad to My Little Girl by Tim McGraw and Sean danced with is mom to Find Your Wings by Mark Harris. The maid of honor Amelia and the best man Kyle made two wonderful and funny toasts for the happy couple. Sean did provide me with a nice play list that had a little bit for everyone. The list consisted of 80's classics, new wave, alternative, top 40 and classic oldies. The oldies were played mostly during the meal and the dancing/fun music was played after. The dance floor was rockin' after dinner and Katie and Sean danced with their siblings to White Wedding by Billy Idol (private joke)!! There was no garter/bouquet toss but we did perform the anniversary dance and the cake cutting. Katie and Sean knew their guests enough to know what genre of music they would dance to and that helped my out immensley. The last song of the evening was I Wanna Do Bad Things To You by Jace Everett and that wrapped up a perfect evening. Congrats to Sean and Katie and to the entire Griffin and Roberts families. Off they go on a cruise to the Carribean!!! Thanks to Shanon and her staff at the Preserves for always making the bride and groom's experience a great one!! DJ Ray
