Wedding Reception at the Police Hall / Ft. Lauderdale
Friday evening at the Police Hall of Ft. Lauderdale is where the reception was held for Bret and Lesley. As they made their way into the hall the guests went into the bar area as I played some up beat music for the half hour. Once Cocktails ended the guests made their way into the main room where we began the formalities by introducing the bride and grooms children to Time of your life by Pitbull followed by the introduction of Bret and Lesley to Raise your glass by Lady Gaga. The first dance was to All of Me by John Legend as the guests joined them on the dance floor.
Dinner began as I continued to play upbeat tunes for the young crowd that they were.
Once dinner concluded we cut the cake to Everything by Buble and then Lesley danced with the boys to Watching You by Rodney Atkins followed by Bret and the girls to God Gave Me You by Blake Shelton and then the party began. Fireball Shots were everywhere as we danced to all top 40 music as Lesley wanted no line dances so it was a dance party . As the evening came to a close, the final songs were A Thousand Years by Christina Perri and Bye Bye Bye by Nsync. Lesley and Bret were very pleased with the music I played and the motivation I had to get the small crowd to dance. Happy New Year from DJ Marc Evans.
