On Sunday, July 16th I was in Islamorada at the Postcard Inn and Resort for the wedding ceremony and reception of Keith and Marissa. The ceremony took place around 5:00pm on the sand just a few feet from the ocean. Keith walked down the aisle with his parents to Love Me Like You Do by Vitamin String Quartet. The officiant then asked everyone to stand as we all watched Marissa walk down to Until I Found You by Stephen Sanchez. The ceremony concluded with a kiss as the newlyweds celebrated down the aisle together as husband and wife to All You Need Is Love by Dallas String Quartet. The cocktail hour was played by our very own steel drummer Brian Henry of Eddie B & Company. The reception area was held under a large tiki hut with bistro lighting hanging over the long dining tables. When it was time for introductions, I invited everyone to stand in a large circle as we all welcomed the new Mr. and Mrs. Kacich to Come and Get your Love by Redbone. Keith and Marissa then embraced each other for their first dance to Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley. After the first dance, I invited Marissa’s father to join his daughter for their father daughter dance to The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra, followed by Keith and his mother as they danced to How Sweet it is by James Taylor. During dinner, I played a some Motown and easy listening music while the guests enjoyed their meal and the rest of the night was a party with a mix of pop, 80s and dance music favorites for all the guests to enjoy. The last song of the evening was (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes, a perfect slow dance to end the night. Thank you Keith and Marissa for allowing me to be a part of your special day. It was an absolute pleasure partying with you and your family. - DJ ELOW
