On Tuesday November 6th, 2012 I was back in paradise at the Post Card Inn Holiday Isle in Islamorada for Jessie and David Best and fifty friends and family members. The weather was picture perfect with blue skies and a slight breeze. The music for the ceremony and cocktail hour was provided by a steel drummer. I started with introducing the parents, M.O.H. & B.M. and the newlyweds. Jessie and David chose a classic by Otis Redding "That's How Strong My Love Is", for their first dance. After a few toasts a delicious island style buffet was served, complete with a roasted pig and all of the trimmings. I invited everyone to the tiki hut dance floor after dinner for the father/daughter dance,"Wonderful World" and the mother/son dance, "All To You" by DJ Keo. We went right into the cake cutting ceremony with "Sweetest Thing" by U2 and then it was party time. I played a mix of Old School tunes from the 80's, and the latest Top 40 hits, with a few line dances mixed in. The Cupid Shuffle and the Cleveland Shuffle went over big! For the final song it was "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton. I want to wish Jessie and David all the best and thanx again for making me a part of your special day! DJ/MC Eddie B!
