Wedding Reception at the Renaissance Hotel / Plantation

DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the wedding blog. On Saturday, I had the pleasure of being the DJ for Andre and Diana's wedding! It was held at two locations. the ceremony was conducted at the beautiful Pine Island Ridge country club. They have a wonderful gazebo located on the lake. As the guests arrived, I plates some NEO Classical tunes by the Vitamin String Quartet. It set a very nice tone. The ceremony started with the introduction of the bridal party. I used "A Thousand Years, Pano Version" for the processional of the wedding party. Then Diana walked down the aisle to " Canon D Minor". The ceremony was performed by a family friend. Once the nuptials were done, I played : Marry You" by Bruno Mars. Everyone gathered into their vehicles and when proceeded to the Renaissance Hotel for the reception. The cocktail hour was held in the lobby. I played some cool tunes to set a nice mood. Then the main dining room was opened. It looked great! 

The guests entered and I kept the bridal party outside for the introductions. I played "Higher Love" by Kygo & Whitney. Then Andre and Diana proceeded to enter. Now, this was a special entrance. You see, Andre is a huge MMA fan and actually contacted the MC who introduces the fighters to do an introduction. It was really original! They then proceeded to the first dance" All of Me" by John Legend. Once that ended, I asked Diana to dance with her dad. They requested "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts. The Andre dance with his mom. "A song for Mama" was used. It went over great! 

Dinner was served. I played some old school songs and Motown. Once dinner was almost over, I asked Claudia, Danny, Miriella, and Charles to say a few words. Soon after that, I invited the guests up for dancing and we never looked back! This was a dancing group and the guests enjoyed themselves all night. I played a lot of old school Hip Hop and Latin songs. A great night was had by all!
