On Saturday, August 21st I was in Plantation at the Renaissance Fort Lauderdale-Plantation Hotel for the wedding ceremony and reception of Dan and Chantal. The ceremony took place shortly after 6pm in a beautifully decorated room with long white drapes and lavender lighting. The groom along with his groomsmen and the bridal party walked to Canon in D Major by Pachelbel, followed by the bride who walked down the aisle to Mendelssohn’s Wedding March. Once the two were pronounced husband and wife, the new Mr. and Mrs. Duryea celebrated together while singing Upside Down by Jack Johnson. When it was time for introductions I invited everyone to stand as we welcomed Mrs and Mrs. Duryea to Sexy and I Know It by LMFAO. The couple then embraced each other for their first dance to Conversations in the Dark by John Legend. During dinner, I played reggae while the guests enjoyed their meal. After dinner, we kicked the party off with a very entertaining bouquet toss by Chantal, who tossed her bouquet to a group of single ladies as I played Savage by Megan Thee Stallion. The rest of the night was a party with an eclectic mix of pop, dancehall, soca, and other party favorites for all the guests to enjoy. Once the guests were on the floor they did not want to leave. Their guests also enjoyed the Mirror Me photo booth provided by Eddie B & Company. Thank you Daniel and Chantal for allowing me to be a part of your special day. You were an awesome crowd and it was an absolute pleasure partying with you and your family. Best of luck to you - DJ ELOW
