Wedding Reception at the Ritz Carlton Hotel / Ft. Lauderdale Beach

Priscilla and Scott Maybury celebrated their wedding at the Ritz-Carlton in Ft. Lauderdale FL on 12/14/2013.  The ceremony took place at a nearby church then all of the guests arrived at the Ritz-Carlton and were directed to the 7th floor (pool deck) for the cocktail hour.  Priscilla and Scott hired a cigar roller and a 2 piece latin band for the cocktail hour.  During that time I decorated the grand ballroom (on the 4th floor) with 24 Royal Blue LED, wireless up-lights and mini-lazers. The ballroom looked amazing as all of the guests were invited into the reception.  I lined up the bridal party for the grand entrance while approximately 130 guests located their tables.  Priscilla chose Jail House Rock by Elvis Presley for the parents intros, Everything Tonight by Pitbul and Neyo for the bridal party and All of The Lights by Kanye West and Rihanna for her and Scott's intro.  The first dance was to I Won't Give Up by Jason Mraz then they had a combined parents dance to I Hope You Dance by Leeann Womack.  The toasts were given by Teresa (maid of honor) and Brett (best man) as the first course was served.  During the 2nd course, Priscilla and Scott's parents gave two wonderful welcoming speeches.  They thanked everyone for attending and offered a good luck poem to the happy couple.  Priscilla and Scott did not provide a play list but asked me to pump it up like I know how to!!  After the main course the dance floor got packed very quickly.  I played a mix of merengue, salsa, top 40, classic rock, hip-hop, r&b and 80's and 90's dance.  At one point before the garter/bouquet toss and the cake cutting, the photographer asked me to call all of the groom's side of the family on to the dance floor for a group picture then the same for Priscilla's side.   The dancing continued until the end and the last song for the evening was Your Song by Elton John.  All of the remaining guests gave the happy couple a big group hug to put a cap on an excellent evening.  Congrats to Priscilla, Scott and the entire Maybury and Bach families.  Enjoy your honeymoon cruise to the Mediterranean!!!!
