Nicole and Kevin Powers celebrated their wedding at the Riverside Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 2/7/2025. This amazing wedding began with an outdoor ceremony at the New River courtyard where approximately 80 close friends and family members witnessed the happy couple tie the knot. After a perfect ceremony all of the guests were invited to the 8th floor of the hotel for the cocktail hour and reception. I played a mix of tropical tunes while everyone mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers. I also took the time to decorate the ballroom with 20, LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B. & Company. As all of the guests entered the ballroom, I lined up the 18 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Nicole chose Celebration by Kool & The Gang for the parents intros, I Love My Friends for the bridesmaids intros, Brothers by French Montana for the groomsmen and Forever by Chris Brown for her and Kevin's intro. The first dance was to Too Much Heaven by The Bee Gees then Nicole danced with her dad to Vals Para Una Novia by A. Jaen and Kevin danced with his mom to You'll Be In My Heart by Phil Collins. Everyone found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal. During dinner, the toasts were given by Orlando (FOB), Morgan (BM) and Monica (MOH). As you can imagine the dance floor opened up after dinner and it became an all-out dance party until the end. I played a mix of top 40, classic rock, R&B and Motown. I did also take requests for the group dances and Bad Bunny. The cake cutting, the shoe game and bouquet toss (no garter) were performed as the evening progressed. The closing song for the evening was Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen and that put a bow on a fabulous Friday night wedding.
Congrats to Nicole, Kevin and the entire Powers and Ruiz families.
Special thanks to the staff at the Riverside for always providing an excellent experience.
