Saturday Evening May 14th at the Riverside Hotel is where David and Dianne finally after many years and obstacles became one. In front of family and friends overlooking the New River waterway on a beautiful but breezy day, They exchanged vows and rings and were pronounced husband and wife. David and the bridal party walked down the aisle to Trumpet Voluntary and Dianne escorted by her son to the traditional Bridal March. When the ceremony concluded, Messiah Hallelujah by Handel was played.
Cocktail hour was held on the balcony rooftop over looking Ft. Lauderdale. The genre was as I call it, dinner swing. From Frank to Dean some jazz and many classic artists from the 50's.
Guests were invited into the main ballroom as I lined up the bridal party and introduced them to Get Ready For This and Crazy in Love. Then David and Diane danced into the room to Let's Get it Started as David twirled Diane on the dance floor prior to the first dance. During the first dance which was to Could I Have This Dance by Anne Murray, I invited all the guests to join them on the dance floor. Diane then danced with her son to I Hope You Dance by Leanne Womack.
Followed by the toasts, salad and dinner and then cake cutting to Cut The Cake by Average White Band. The party got going with line dances to Electric Slide, Cupid Shuffle and a Stroll line lots of disco and some top 40 towards the end of the night. Friends and family loved the slow songs and the Salsa and even a conga line and La Bamba as the party rocked until the end of the evening.
David and Diane approached me and thanked me for the great music that kept family and friends partying until the last song by Donna Summer, The Last Dance, .....Congrats and have fun in Hawaii...from DJ Marc Evans
