Daniel and Amy were married on Saturday May 18th. The reception was held at the
Royal Palm Yacht Club in Boca Raton. It is a fantastic place to have a party. Since this was an afternoon wedding, the bride and groom decided to have a brunch buffet.
As the guests arrived from the wedding ceremony, I was instructed to play some rat pack standards. Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennet, etc. As well as some contemporary vocals. Buble`, Jason Mraz, Maroon 5 and Sade.
It really set a nice tone for an afternoon event.
When the main room was opened, I kept it upbeat, playing some funky house music. South Beach couldn't sound better!
The introductions started with the bridal party and parents.
I used "Just a Groove" by Toner.
Then Daniel and Amy were introduced into the room.
For them, they requested" Crazy Little Thing" from Queen.
It went over great. Then I invited them to dance their first dance. "I Won't Give Up" by Jason Mraz was requested.
I played a song for all of the guests. Then they ate lunch.
After lunch, we introduced the parent dances. "I Loved Her First" by Heartland and "A Parent's Prayer" by Steven Curtis Chapman were used.
Now we partied! I was playing music from all genres. It was a lot of fun.
The cake cutting was done using "Cut the Cake" by Average White Band.
The Garter was thrown using "Sexy Can I' by Ray J. The bouquet was thrown using " Single Ladies" by Beyonce'.
We danced a little more, keeping the mood upbeat and fun.
Then I did the anniversary dance. "Unforgettable" By Nat King Cole was used. The grandparents of the bride won. 59 years married...WOW!
At the end of the party, I played "Glad You Came" by The Wanted as the last song.
It was a perfect ending to a great wedding
