Maria & Christopher Soto celebrated their wedding at the Rusty Pelican in Biscayne Bay, Miami FL on 8/18/2023. The ceremony took place at a nearby church then all of the 150 guests were invited to the Rusty Pelican for the cocktail hour and reception. While everyone mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers, I set-up our signature "Cumulus Cloud" effect for the first dance. All of the guests were then invited to the ballroom for the reception and dinner. I lined up the 18 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Maria chose Turn The Beat Around by The Miami Sound Machine for the parents and grandparents intros, This Is How We Do It for the bridal party intros and Livin' La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin for her and Christopher's intro. The first dance was to Por Amarte A Ti by C. Castro then Maria danced with her dad to Hero by Mariah Carey and Christopher danced with his mom to Do I Make You Proud by Taylor Hicks. The toasts were given by Kana (MOH) and Josh (BM) and the reception was in full swing. Everyone found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal. Maria did provide me with a play list that included top 40, classic 90s hits and heavy latin favorites. Amazing energy that evening from the very excited guests. Maria and Christopher surprised everyone with a performance by Paco and his flamenco show during dinner for all to enjoy. The dance floor opened up after dinner and it became a full blown dance party for the rest of the evening. The happy couple did have a cake cutting ceremony and the garter/bouquet toss as the evening progressed. The closing song for the evening was All Night Long by Lionel Richie and that put a bow on a fabulous Friday night Miami wedding.
Congrats to Maria, Christopher and the entire Soto, Acosta and Gonzalez families.
Special thanks to the staff at the Rusty Pelican for always providing excellent service.
