Ben and Sophie Baumgold celebrated their wedding reception at the Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne, FL on 3/4/2012 with approximately 240 friends and family. The ceremony music was provided by a string instrument trio and the cocktail hour by a steel drum player. After everyone entered the main ballroom and found their tables the grand entrance proceeded. The entire bridal party entered to Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO including bride and groom. Sophie and Ben's first dance was to Everything by Michael Buble and half way through everyone was invited to the dance floor. As a Jewish tradition the first dance was followed by the Hora. The dance floor was completely full as Ben and Sophie were hoisted up on 2 chairs followed by his parents then her parents. A good 15 minute dance set followed then everyone was ready for the 1st of 3 courses. Uncle John had the honors of blessing the Challah and the wine. During the 3 course meal Sophie requested a mix of love songs and soft jazz for the couples to dance to. Towards the end of the main course Madeline and Anton the best man and maid of honor made the 2 speaches. After the main course the dance floor opened up again. I played a mix of top 40, 70's classics, oldies and classic rock. Soon after Ben and Sophie's dads made two heart-felt speeches then Ben dance with his mom and Sophie with her dad to Just The Way You Are by Billy Joel. The special requests for the evening were Always and Forever by Heatwave for Sophie's parents and You Are So Beautiful by Joe Cocker for Ben's parents. The highlight of the evening was a flashmob style dance to I'm Sexy and I Know It by LMFAO. Almost the entire dance floor was moving in unison to the song. Everyone danced until the end and the last song was last Dance by Donna Summer. This was a very energized crowd that was super excited for Ben and Sophie on their big day. Ben and Sophie are from Chicago and I congratulate them for choosing an awesome venue for the wedding and for choosing Eddie B and Co. as the entertainment. Thanks again to the Aronowitz and the Baumgold families for pulling off an amazing high energy wedding. DJ Ray
