Melanie and Justin DeBrabant celebrated their wedding at the Sheraton Yankee Clipper in Ft. Lauderdale FL on 4/19/2013. We were not hired for the ceremony which took place on the beach but Melanie and Justin did hire us for the cocktail hour and the reception. They chose the "First Dance" package that includes a 4 hour reception and they also added our very own Rick B to play live (acoustic guitar) during the cocktail hour. The cocktail hour was also outdoors so when it was over all 65 guests were directed to the main ballroom for the reception. I lined up the 22 member bridal party for the intros and they were pumped up! The bridal party entered to Let's Get Loud by J Lo and Melanie and Justin entered to Don't Stop The Party by Pitbul. The happy couple went right into the first dance which was The Way You Look Tonight by Frank Sinatra then Melanie danced with her dad to My Nina Bonita by Ismael Miranda. The toasts were given by the maid of honor, the best man and both dads. Soon after everyone sat down and relaxed while the first course was being served. Melanie did provide me with a play list that consisted of top 40, classic rock, 80's, salsa, merengue and reggaeton. The must play song for the evening was the FSU War Chant!! Go NOLES!!! After dinner the dance floor got full and stayed that way until the cake cutting. There was no garter/bouquet toss so after the cake was served everyone rushed back to the dance floor. This was a very energetic and fun group that loved to dance (my kind of crowd)!! The dancing continued until the end and the last song for the evening was Good Riddance by Green Day. Congrats to Melanie, Justin and the entire Rodriguez and DeBrabant families. This was a great wedding from start to finish!!
