Wedding Reception at the Sonesta Hotel / Fort Lauderdale Beach

Anahita and Chad Luvison celebrated their wedding at the Sonesta Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 3/30/2019. The ceremony was held at a nearby church then all of the approximate 80 guests were invited to the Sonesta for the cocktail hour and the reception. I played a mix of tropical tunes while everyone mingled and enjoyed drinks and appetizers. I also took the time to decorate the ballroom with 24 amber, LED, wireless up lights and LED dance floor lights all provided by Eddie B & Company. As all of the guests entered the ballroom I lined up the 16 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Anahita chose Party Rock Anthem by LMFAO for the bridal party intros and Marry You by Bruno Mars for her and Chad's intro. The first dance was to Lucky by Jason Mraz then Anahita danced with her dad to Dohktaram by Amir Badili and Chad danced with his mom to Because You Loved Me by C. Dion. The toasts and welcoming speeches were given by Whitley (maid of honor), Jason (best man) and 7 different family members. All of the guests found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal. Anahita did provide me with a play list that included top 40, alternative, EDM and a few Persian favorites. Great mix of genres for this fun group of guests that filled the dance floor after dinner and only took a break for the cake cutting and the garter/bouquet toss. I did take a few requests for some couples/slow songs as the evening progressed. The closing songs for the evening were Good Riddance by Green Day, Happily Ever After by He Is We and Mr. Jones by The Counting Crows. Great ending to a beautiful Saturday night wedding.
