Wedding Reception at the Stranahan House

Good day Bloggers
DJ Gregg is in the house with this installment of the Wedding Blog. Today's adventure takes us to the Stranahan House in Ft. Lauderdale, on Saturday December 19th. This location is very unique as it sits on the New River and is one of Ft. Lauderdale's oldest buildings. Built in the 1800's.

OK, here's the scoop....

all of the guests at the party thought they were there for the rehearsal dinner. They were all expecting the wedding to be the following day.

however, after dinner, the guests were asked to gather on the side of the house, and SURPRISE! There was Patrick in a Tux waiting for the Bride to walk down the aisle. No one had any idea up to this point! A great surprise.

After the ceremony, I was asked to play "You are the best thing" by Ray La Montagne to invite the guests on to the patio for dancing and drinking..

I then invited Christa and Patrick to the dance floor for the 1st dance. "Wagon Wheel" by the Old Crowe Medicine Show. I then asked Christa to dance with her dad "I Loved her First" by Heartland was requested. After that, i invited Patrick to dance with his Mom. They danced to "All you need is love" by the Beatles.

from this point on, I played dance music and the special requests that were asked. It was a mixed crowd so all genres worked very well.

congrats to Christa and Patrick! DJ/MC Gregg Pellito
