DJ Gregg is ready to tell you about the great party that I had the privilege to DJ on Monday evening, December 21st.
Larry and Lilly had their reception at the Sunrise Civic Center. It was a very nice room and decorated beautifully.
As the guests arrived for cocktails, I was asked to play Standards from the past.. Frankie, Dino, Sammy...You get the idea.
Shortly afterwards, I invited the guests into the main ballroom for dinner. I played some upbeat house music to get a nice groove flowing.
I then lined up the bridal party and introduce them.
After that I asked Larry and Lilly to come in...The first intro as husband and wife!
They danced their first dance "The Look of Love" by Connie Francis. This was a planned and choreographed dance, and it looked great!
Then I invited all of the guests to dance to "At Last" by Etta James.
Larry and Lillie are old souls and were very fond of music from the 50's 60's and 70's.
The toast and blessing were done after that and then I invited all of the guests to enjoy their dinner. During this time, I played a lot of music that they had requested. Frank Sinatra, Lionel Richie, Michael Jackson and even some Sam Smith.
After dinner, things picked up really quick.
This was a dancing crowd!
I stayed true to their requests and played a lot of older tunes. This was just fine with them and everyone else on the floor. It was packed most of the evening.
The cake cutting was done with "Cut the Cake" by Average White Band playing in the background.
I then picked up the pace again and we danced the rest of the night away!
Congrats to the Bride and Groom
