Wedding Reception at The Tower Club

On Saturday, April 18th, 2015 I had the honor of DJing/MCing the reception for Andreas and Tiffany Soniga at the beautiful Tower Club in downtown Fort Lauderdale. The Cocktail Hour took place at the Tower Club bar where I played a mixture of easy listening, rock, oldies and pop music.  I introduced the bridal party to the Don’t Stop the Party by Pittbull. Then, I introduced Tiffany & Andreas to the song Enter Sandman, by Metallica. For the first dance, they chose Thinking Out Loud by Ed Sheeran. Tiffany and her father Patrick danced to the  Butterfly Kisses, by Bob Carlisle. Then, Andreas and his mother Betty danced to  A Song for My Son, by Mikki Viereck. Prior to dinner service, a beautiful prayer was given by a family friend Marlato. After the prayer, the Maid of Honor, Best Man and Father of the Bride delivered  touching toasts to the Bride and Groom. I began dinner service with some of the more low key music requested for the reception and ramped things up from the playlist I was given, mostly consisting of Latin music. As guests finished their meal, they began to fill the dance floor. After about 30 minutes of dancing, we did the bouquet toss to the song Single Ladies, by Beyonce. Then, we followed with the Garter Removal and Toss to the song Let’s Get it On, by Marvin Gaye. After the tosses we made the winners put the garter on the bouquet toss recipient in front of the lively crowd! Many laughs were had. After, they cut the cake to the song Love & Marriage, by Frank Sinatra. The rest of the evening, I played a mixture of music that the Bride and Groom hand picked for the reception, which consisted of mostly latin music mixed in with some oldies.
