Courtney and Michael Maher celebrated their dream wedding at the W Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 4/8/2017. This wedding had it all!! It began with a beautiful outdoor ceremony over-looking the Atlantic Ocean on the 5th Floor terrace. After the ceremony all of the guests were invited to the cocktail hour on the same floor. They were greeted with drinks, appetizers and the live steel drum sounds of our very own Brian Henry. I decorated the ballroom with 24 royal blue colored, LED, wireless uplights, dance floor lights and a 55" plasma screen for a father/daughter dance montage all provided by Eddie B & Company. As the guests filed into the ballroom I lined up the 24 member bridal party for the grand entrance. Courtney chose Bring 'Em Out by T.I. for the bridal party intros and Bawitdaba by Kid Rock for her and Michael's intros. The first dance was to No Man Is An Island by Jack's Mannequin then Courtney danced with her dad to What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong and Michael danced with his mom to The Perfect Fan by The Backstreet Boys. All of the approximate 100 guests found their seats and prepared for the toasts and speech. Nicole (maid of honor) and Greg (best man) gave the toasts then Courtney's dad Mr. Sayers gave the welcoming speech. The 1st of a 3 course meal was served and the reception was in full swing. Michael did provide me with a short play list but left it up to me for the music selections for that evening. I played a mix of top 40, classic rock, alternative, country and 90s dance hits. What a great mix of genres for this fun/up-beat group. They filled the dance floor after the main course and barely stopped for a break. We did have the cake cutting ceremony and the bouquet toss (no garter) as the night progressed. The highlight of the evening was performing the Tarrantella in vintage Italian style!! PRICELESS!!
The closing song for the evening was Kiss From A Rose by Seal which was also a special request from Michael. Congrats to Courtney, Michael and the entire Maher, Sayers and Maloughney families!!
Special thanks to the staff at the W for their 5 star service as always!!
