Wedding Reception at the "W" Hotel / Fort Lauderdale Beach

Lesly and Jesse Almanzar celebrated their wedding at the W Ft. Lauderdale Beach in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 8/12/2017.  The ceremony was held at a nearby church then all of the guests were invited to the W for the cocktail hour and reception.  As the approximate 120 close friends and family members enjoyed drinks and appetizers at the cocktail hour I decorated the ballroom with 24 pink colored, LED, wireless up-lights and dance floor lights all provide by Eddie B & Company.  As the guests entered the ballroom for the reception I lined up the 23 member bridal party for the grand entrance.  Both sets of parents and each bridal party couples chose a different individual song for their entrance then Lesly and Jesse entered to The Matrimony by Wale and Usher.  The first dance was to All Of Me by John Legend then Lesly danced with her dad to Y Como Es El by Marc Anthony and Jesse danced with his mom to A Song For Mama (Spanish version) by Boyz II Men.  There were no toasts given that evening but all of the guests did find their seats and prepared for the 1st of a 3 course meal.  Lesly did provide me with a play list that included top 40, Latin favorites, r&b, Hip-hop and 90s pop.  After the guests enjoyed the main course they filled the dance floor quickly.  This was a fun/upbeat group that danced to all of the genres I played that evening.  Jesse and his boys really had a great time on the dance floor getting down to all of the old school hip-hop tunes.  The cake cutting and the garter/bouquet toss were performed as the night progressed along with some of the newer group dances.  The last song for the evening was one of Jesse's favorites.  I played One More Chance by Biggie Smalls and that put a bow on a great wedding!!
