Wedding Reception at The "W" Hotel / Ft. Lauderdale

Ashley & Craig Gage celebrated their wedding at the W Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale, FL on 3/24/2023.  Approximately 110 guests arrived to the W that  early Friday night and they were all directed to the 5th floor for the ceremony and cocktail hour.  I played a mix of smooth jazz hits at the cocktail hour as all of the guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers while Ashley and Craig posed for pictures with immediate family members.  I also took the time to decorate the ballroom with 20 LED, wireless up-lights, dance floor lights and our "LOVE" DJ booth all provided by Eddie B & Company.  As all of the guests entered the ballroom I lined up the 22 member bridal party for the grand entrance.  Ashley chose Don't Stop The Party by Pitbul for the bridal party intros and Crazy In Love by Beyonce for her and Craig's intro.  The first dance was to From This Moment by Shania Twain then Ashley danced with her dad to I Loved Her First by Heartland and Craig danced with his mom to Hero by Mariah Carey.  Everyone found their seats and prepared for a 3 course meal.  The toasts were given by Nicole (MOH), Mark and Bobby (Best Men) and Mark (GM) and the reception was under way.  Ashley did provide me with a play list that included top 40, country tunes, latin favorites and Motown hits.  Perfect mix of genres for this very electric group of guests that danced the night away.  We did take the time to cut the wedding cake and we also had a garter/bouquet toss as the evening progressed.  For the last 25 minutes of the wedding I played a mix of Rave favorites and EDM as requested by Craig.  The closing song for the evening was Friends In Low Places by Garth Brooks and that put a bow on an incredible wedding.
