Wedding Reception at the Waterstone Resort

DJ Gregg is at it again....bringing you the latest installment of the Wedding Blog. This weeks adventure takes us to the wedding of Troy and Andrea. They had their wedding and reception at the Waterstone Resort in Boca Raton. Avery nice venue indeed. 

As the guests arrived, they were escorted to the patio for the ceremony. The mic for the officiant was provided by Eddie B & Company. Shortly after that we went to the other side of the patio for cocktails. 

The music during cocktail hour was light. I was instructed to play some "South Beach Lounge" music and standards, like Sinatra, Buble' etc..... Very smooth.

The main dining room was almost ready to be received. It was beautifully decorated with flowers and gorgeous purple lighting, provided by Eddie B & Company. The band was also set up and ready to go. Yes, Troy is a professional musician and a lot of his friends were there to lend their hand and help the event!

The guests entered and I kept a funky groove going. I then lined up the bride and groom for intros.

Once I introduced Troy and Andrea, I turned it over to the band. They played the first dance. Then Troy got up and sang for his bride! After that, Haven, Troy's daughter sand a song. She was AMAZING! Then Jimmy Hall who is the lead singer for the Grammy award winning band "Wet Willie" got up and belted a few songs. Again....Amazing!

Once that ended, I asked the guests to sit down for dinner. I played some oldies, Motown and some slow Latin songs.

After dinner I  invited all of the guests to dance and we got the party started! 

All I can say is WOW! This was a dancing crowd. I had a mixed bag of guests, so I played music for every taste and style. I did notice that Top 40 and Latin worked the best, but I played some oldies and some cool tunes for the "older" guests.. 

The cake was cut and I played "Blurred Lines".  I immediately picked it back up after that and we danced the rest of the night away!
