Good Day Bloggers!
DJ Gregg here with this weeks installment of the wedding blog.
Our event was held at the beautiful Waterstone Resort in Boca Raton.
A beautiful venue overlooking the inlet at Boca Raton.
As the guests arrived for cocktail hour, I was instructed to play some light R & B and Reggae. The sounds of Marvin Gaye, Al Green and Jah Cure filled the room.
Kareema and Ronald were enjoying the time with the guests as well. The bar was open and the libations were flowing.
The guest list consisted of friends and family from all over the country as well as the US Virgin Islands. I had found out the Ronald and Kereena have known each other since they were in school. Well over 20 years!
After cocktail hour, I invited the guests into the main ballroom and then introduced the bridal party. They came into the room with "Affairs of the heart" by Damien Marley.
Then Kareema and Ronald danced in with "Blurred Lines" in the background!
The first dance was "The other half of me" by Jah Cure. A really nice Reggae song.
After that I invited all of the guests up to dance. I played "Bucchanalist" by Kerwin Du Bois. A great Soca tune. Very lively and a great way to get the party started!
After that I asked everyone to find their seats. I then invited Kisha, Michael, Naferti, and Eugenie up to say a few words. It was really great to hear all of the wonderful things that were said and all of the great memories.
Dinner was served with Reggae being played in the background.
Afterwards, I started the dancing with some dancehall, and modern dance music. But the real hits of the party were the Soca and DanceHall tunes. Gyptian, Jah Cure, Byron Lee....you get the picture. These folks just wanted to dance!!
The cake was cut with "This is you" by Jah Cure playing in the background.
Then we did the garter and bouquet toss.
A lot of fun there!
The party continued and the dance floor stayed packed all evening.
It was a really great party and Ronald and Kareema were a really great couple.
Enjoy your life together!!
