Wow! This one was memorable. Robert and Cindy McGrath got married on 3/13/2011 at the Westin Hotel on Cypress Creek Road. in Ft. Lauderdale. After the ceremony and cocktail hour by the pool, I lined up the bridal party that consisted of 24 people including the bride and groom. The bridal party walked in to "The Time" by Black Eyed Peas and the bride and groom to Michael Bufffer's -" Let's Get Ready to Rumble". Cindy and Roberts first dance was "You and I" by Michael Buble. Cindy then danced with her father to "My Baby You" by Marc Anthony which was also the song they danced to at her Sweet 16. Then Cindy danced with her grandfather to "Mi Nina Bonita" by Ismael Miranda. Robert danced with his mom to "I'll Stand By You" - by The Pretenders. After Meg (m.o.h.) and Andy (best man) made there speeches everyone sat down for salads and main course. Cindy chose a selection of dinner music consisting of (soft salsa, Dave Matthews, Jason Mraz, Cold Play and Train). The dance floor opened up after dinner for some serious dancing. I started off with top 40, then played some latin, then 70's and back to top 40. Everyone enjoyed the mix of genres in just a quick 1/2 hour set. After the cake cutting and the garter and bouquet tosses we got back to the music. Robert and Cindy discussed with me before the wedding that they wanted the dance floor packed for most of the night and that's exactly what happened. Their guests where so happy to be there that they really seemed to enjoy the music and danced like there is no one watching. We also did the Cha Cha Slide and the Cupid Shuffle after the cake and garter/bouquet. The last song of the evening was "Que Bonita Es Esta Vida" by Jorge Celedon which is a Vallenato that was requested by Cindy's family that are of Colombian descent. Excellent non-stop dancing wedding!!! I really enjoyed the guests and their requests that night.
