On Saturday, October 19th I was in Fort Lauderdale and The Westin Hotel for the wedding ceremony and reception of Jerry and Steven. The cocktail hour was held in the foyer area just outside the main ballroom with a good mix of music from the 80s. The reception area was in the Atlantic Ballroom brought to life by royal blue and purple LED up lighting, a very elegant monogram with the couple’s names, and an open air photo booth, provided by Eddie B & Company. When it was time for introductions I invited everyone to stand as we welcomed Steven and Jerry to Xanadu by Olivia Newton-John. The couple then embraced each other for their first dance to Aguas de Marco by Antonio Jobim. Steven then danced with his mother and brothers to You and Me Against the World by Helen Reddy. During dinner, I played some 80s and 90s love songs while the guests enjoyed their meal. The ceremony took place shortly after the guests were seated and finished with dinner and included a special performance from Steven’s Daughter, Samantha, singing La Vie en Rose by Edith Piaf. The rest of the night was a party with a fusion of 80s to 2000s disco and dance party favorites for all the guests to enjoy. Once the guests were on the floor they did not want to leave. Thank you Jerry and Steven for allowing me to be a part of your special day. You were an awesome crowd and it was an absolute pleasure partying with you and your family. Best of luck to you gentlemen - DJ ELOW
