On Saturday March 12th, 2016 I played for Emily & Jake Stephens and 110 family members and friends at the Wyndham Hotel in Boca Raton. The day started out at the Addison Restaurant where the ceremony & cocktail reception was held. As the guests arrived and entered the Lavender LED up lit ballroom with a gobo monogram that spelled out "Emily & Jake" projected on the wall, I played a mix of low key groove music. Then the party began at the Wyndham with a rocking introduction of the bridal party to "Right Round" by Flo Rida and Emily & Jake made their grand entrance to "Shut Up and Dance"! Their first dance was to "Mine Would Be You" by Blake Shelton. Emily dance with her father to "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie Wonder and then a special surprise from her father "I Loved Her First", along with Jake and their daughter Stella joining in. Jake also danced with his mother Vicky to "Have I Told You Lately" by Rod Stewart. Toasts were made and dinner was served, and the party rocked on for 3.5 more hours. This group came to dance! Emily & Jake provided me with a playlist from which I was able to play 90% of their requests! The cake was cut to "It's A Beautiful Day" by Michael Buble and then Jake removed the garter to "Sexyback" and tossed it to "Sharp Dresses Man". Emily tossed her bouquet to "Girls, Run the World", by Beyoncé. The bridal party also had a special dance to "Space Jam". We ended the evening with Bye, Bye, Bye then Friends in Low Places and finally Save the Last Dance for Me! I invited the guests outside for a sparkler send off! Emily & Jake are honeymooning in Barbados in May!
