Great Wedding despite the RAIN.
On Saturday, September 10th, 2011 I played for Jayney and John Jefferson and 150 friends and family members.
The wedding ceremony was held on board the Lady Windridge. The bride entered the ceremony to Canon in D by Pachelbel and for the recessional it was "Happy Together" by the Turtles.
The evening started with a selection of easy listing music like "Morning Dance" by Spyro Gyra and "Just the Way You Are" by Barry White.
We had a great introduction where we showed how technology has changed with speech writing, we used paper in the past now we use our smart phones. (LOL) After dinner and cake cutting we got down to business. Our couple's first dance was "The Look Of Love" by Dusty Springfield (she is more famous for "You Don't Have To Say You Love Me")
The guests danced the night away to 60's and 70's hits such as: " A Hard Days Night" by the Beatles, "Baby Love" & "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" Diana Ross & The Supremes, "Twisting The Night Away" by Cam Cook, " I Second That Emotions" by Smokey Robinson and much more. We almost has a washout when the rain came down. We moved the party inside to the lower deck and started off with "Twist and Shout" the Beatles and no to "Save The Last Dance For Me" by Michael Buble. A great evening even with the rain.
Congratulations to John and Jayne
